The forward turrets has a 127 mm turtleback angled back at 45 degrees that makes it very difficult to citadel in that area even at modest angles off broadside; conversely the machinery spaces has no turtleback and is easier to citadel, but that area is also much shorter than the Iowa's citadel, which doesn't have any kind of angled turtleback.
